COMPLETED

summer 2014 completed

Fall anime series that I completed.

  • Aldnoah.Zero: Aldnoah.Zero: Very interesting, the story for the first 3 episodes was written by Urobuchi Gen and as I understand it gave a general guideline for the whole story. The characters are a little weak but the story is solid. The end was nice and I will watch the second season
  • Ao Haru Ride: Ao Haru Ride: A regular shoujo nothing more than that. The focus is on romance and character development and they do a good job at it.
  • Barakamon: This is a little gem hidden in the season; it’s a good mix between comedy and a serious slice of life. I’m sure that if you like calligraphy you will enjoy Barakamon even more, I don’t understand calligraphy as an art form (I don’t know enough).
  • Free! Eternal Summer: Second season of Free! Nothing to add…
  • Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita: Better comedy than Love Live but it is basically the same stuff over and over again
  • Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun: This anime alone can make you laugh for days, I almost feel bad for Chiyo. All of the characters are interesting and well developed. I really want a second season.
  • Glasslip”: I do not understand this anime, is it good? Is it bad? I don’t know… I don’t like the apparent randomness of the story… what kind of problem does the main character have?… Too many questions and no answer at all…
  • Hanayamata: Cute… nothing else to be said I was smiling the whole time.
  • Majimoji Rurumo: It starts as a regular comedy anime but by the end it seems that they almost changed genre. All and all it was decent and did make me laugh.
  • RAIL WARS!: How can they last 12 episodes talking about trains? The answer was simple add boobs and mini-skirts and you will forget about trains and the second male character (which sometimes doesn’t even talk for episodes).
  • Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?: It is basically “Kore wa zombie desu ka?”
  • Sabagebu!: Survival game, it’s all about airsoft and cute girls
  • Seirei Tsukai no Kenbu: Blade Dance: Second season hopefully not coming anytime soon… an ecchi with no serious plot or even a well developed plot
  • Tokyo ESP: The manga is better but I did like this adaptation even if it’s nothing special
  • Tokyo Ghoul: It follows the first half of the manga really well but I have to say that sometimes is softer than the manga.
  • Zankyou no Terror: An anime about terrorist that are not really terrorist, I can see a few plot holes and at last an unnecessary character but overall is a really good anime with visually stunning backgrounds
  • Haikyuu!!: That ending was surprising and I liked it, I don’t look forward to a second season but it was a good anime
  • Captain Earth: The second half was as good as the first, it’s almost a mix between Eureka Seven AO and Star Driver (I hope that somebody remembers it)
  • Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Disappointing second half, it shows a lot of holes in the story that will never be filled
