Spring 2014 Aftermath

spring 2014 first episode

In this category there are all the anime series of the season of which I have only seen the first episode due to various reasons that I will try to explain. What I will write here is only a personal opinion I really hate judging an anime by its first episode.

  • Break Blade: I did watch the movies and read the manga; a series to me feels completely unnecessary.
  • Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara: Seeing the various flags (death flag, romance flag etc…) over the head of the person, it is a funny concept but I feel like is going to be used only to develop a harem anime.
  • Kamigami no Asobi ~Ludere deorum~: I didn’t even finish the first episode I just can’t force myself to watch it.
  • Ping Pong The Animation: Difficult to watch due to the art style, but it seems good. I was not that interested so I didn’t continue.
  • Kenzen Robo Daimidaler: It’s funny no real plot and a lot of erotic content I see this as a hit, I will watch it at some point to get a cheap laugh or two (probably not).
  • Date A LiveII: I didn’t really liked the first Date a Live and I didn’t like what I saw in the first episode, it seems like they will focus more on ecchi stuff.
  • Seikoku no Dragonar: A general ecchi anime nothing to add
  • Selector Infected WIXOSS: I feel like it wants to be like Madoka Magica (art/animation style) but it failed miserably.
  • Sidonia no Kishi: interesting 3D art style but it’s not my style. After some time I will give it a second chance because the CGI wasn’t that bad.
  • Gokukoku no Brynhildr: I see dead people… the majority of the first episode was interesting but by the end I wasn’t interested in watching it

spring 2014 dropped

These are anime series that I watched for some episode and then abandoned.

  • Escha & Logy no Atelier: Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi (2/12 episodes): The long anime title of the season. If you judge on graphics alone is good, but the plot is lackluster. On the bright side you have a cute main heroine, so if you have time to waste watch it.
  • M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane (7/24 episodes): If at the 7 episode I’m still wandering what is going on I should probably drop it and never speak about it. I couldn’t care less about the characters, generic and boring are almost compliments.
  • JoJos Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (8/24 episodes): I accepted vampires and soul powers but spirits no, that’s enough. It still is a good anime with less comedy than the first season but I can’t watch it anymore.
