Anime that still will continue in the summer season

  • Haikyuu!!: I usually don’t like sports anime, this was a pleasant surprise, the first half creates a good character base for a second half based on volleyball I just hope that the end of the anime is not the usual cliché
  • Captain Earth: Similar to Eureka Seven AO (same director), the first half is really good they are taking their time developing the story and characters which is a good thing, let’s hope that the second half is on par or better than the first.
  • Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: I didn’t read the novel but the first half is good and I still want to continue.

CONCLUSIONS

spring 2014 conclusion

Overall was an interesting spring season, the various attempt in changing art style were a good thing.
From this season we had really good anime like No Game No Life, Mekakucity Actors, Isshuukan Friends and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, the best one in my opinion was No Game No Life even if I don’t like that kind of ending with Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou as a close second.
The worst anime is without a doubt Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun, I decided for a completed series instead of a dropped one because while the art experiment was welcome the fact that seemed done in 2 minutes with Photoshop just to avoid a slideshow was awful (just to compare it felt like an animation done for a low grade visual novel).
